HIGH MOUNTAIN HAY FEVER BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL 2013 FESTIVAL LINE-UP Old Time Kozmic Trio 2012 FESTIVAL GENERATES $45,000 FOR CLINIC PLUS $20,000 FOR WEST END BLUFF PROJECT! The 2012 Tenth Anniversary High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival was a big success. 3,848 fans attended over the four days. The performances were inspiring, the audience enthusiastic, and the weather cooperated throughout with only a couple of rare exceptions. Best of all, we did so well that we were able to write checks to the Custer County Clinic for $45,000 and the West End Bluff (the festival site) improvement project for $20,000. This brings the total funds generated for the Clinic by the festival over ten years to $346,000 and the total to non-profits overall to $366,000! We are very proud of these accomplishments and we are grateful to all the volunteers, sponsors and attendees who made the festival and the non-profit allocations possible. .......................................................................................................
THE
BLUFF PROJECT: Our festival is fortunate enough to be sited in such a spectacular location, but now our always-working-to-make-things-great community is working and raising funds to modestly expand and develop the festival site as a year-round public park and festival site to be enjoyed by members of the community forever. As you saw above, the festival gave $20,000 to the project from 2012's proceeds. It's an ambitious project guided by a dedicated group of volunteers, and if you would like to contribute, you can do so via PayPal by clicking the button below. Thank you! ....................................................................................................... OUR SPECTACULAR FESTIVAL SITE
Photos: Top, Bill Gillette; bottom, Bob Thomason The festival site is at the west end of Main Street in Westcliffe, on a bluff directly overlooking the spectacular Wet Mountain Valley and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains (see photos above). We think you won't find a more inspiring site for a festival. |
